Join one of Alexandria’s official adult leagues for basketball, softball, volleyball, tennis, and more. The Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities Department offers seasonal leagues for men’s, women’s, and co-ed teams, plus drop-in open play on city turf fields. Great for staying active and meeting other locals.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior or just want a casual game, ASA has year-round options for adult soccer and futsal. Choose from 7v7 outdoor leagues, indoor futsal, women’s programs, and tournaments. All games are played on quality fields and courts with referees provided.

Potomac Yard Park – Interactive Fountain & Splash Area
This vibrant regional park features an eco-friendly interactive fountain with 36 water jets (including programmable laminar streams, lighting effects, and water recycling systems). Located between two playgrounds, it's a fan favorite for families looking for a fun and refreshing outing.

Jones Point Park – Riverside Fishing Piers
Located just south of Old Town, Jones Point Park offers two fishing piers where you can cast for American catfish, rock bass, and American eels. There’s also a canoe launch for exploring the Potomac. Make sure to have a valid fishing license, as federal and applicable state regulations apply.
